Smart Parking and Charging Solutions at EV and Battery Expo Chennai: ChargeEZ

Shaping the Future of EV Mobility and Charging

ChargeEZ was proud to be part of the biggest EV tech event in Chennai—the EV & Battery Expo 2025, held from February 13th to 15th in Chennai Trade Center. With over 100 companies, including EV tech firms, suppliers, manufacturers, and vehicle brands, the expo was filled with  innovation. Industry leaders gathered to discuss the future of electric mobility, charging solutions and sustainability. ChargeEZ’s presence highlighted its commitment to seamless and reliable EV charging.

On February 15th, ChargeEZ’s co-founder, Prashant Chandrasekaran, shared his insights on the trending EV topic—Empowering Electric Mobility in India: Technology Trends, Ecosystem, Market Trends, Acceptance, and the Path to Sustainable Mobility. He was joined by an esteemed panel featuring Dinesh Arjun (Co-Founder & CEO, Raptee), HV Kanasabapathi Subramanian (Senior VP, Ashok Leyland), Vignesh M (Director & Co-Founder, Torus Robotics) and Girinarayanan (Head of Electronics R&D, UCAL Ltd.). Their discussion seeped into EV adoption, infrastructure growth, and technology’s role in shaping the future of mobility.

Key Takeaways from the Discussion

1. The EV Transition and User Expectations

Prashant highlighted ChargeEZ’s pivotal role in the EV ecosystem, noting how we park 120,000–130,000 vehicles daily and has seen a steady shift from ICE vehicles to EVs. This also emphasized that two-wheelers dominate urban mobility, demanding easily accessible charging points.

  • Early EV adopters seek two things—to make a statement about the future and convenience through seamless charging.
  • To meet these needs, ChargeEZ prioritizes convenience, reliability and affordability in its charging solutions.
  • With India’s 250 million two-wheeler market, the focus remains on widespread charging accessibility rather than ultra-fast solutions.

2. Technology’s Role in EV Charging Infrastructure

By building its own AC chargers and electronics, ChargeEZ gains a distinct advantage in ensuring reliable performance at every charging station. This strategic approach allows charging infrastructure to seamlessly align with commuter routines, providing easy access at workplaces, homes and shopping areas.

  • As market behavior evolves, factors like battery efficiency improvements or price reductions will shape future demand
  • Ultimately, EV charging must become as accessible as air, though usage patterns will continue to depend on battery capacity advancements.

3. Shaping the Future of EV Mobility

Users have presented 14-15 unique EV charging needs, proving that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work. ChargeEZ delivers tailored solutions to address specific challenges.

  • However, while setting up chargers is simple, optimizing power allocation and maintaining efficiency remain complex challenges.
  • As EV mobility advances, the challenges of the next 3-4 years will be vastly different from those of the past.

ChargeEZ’s Presence at the Expo

At the event expo, ChargeEZ drew more than 300 visitors to its stall, showcasing a lineup of cutting-edge tech, including EV chargers, POS machines, ultrasonic sensors, smart parking systems and NFC-based access management. The overwhelming interest highlighted the growing demand for seamless EV solutions and smart infrastructure.

Beyond the display, we engaged in meaningful discussions with top industry players like Prestige Group,  Raptee, Kinetic Green, Blue Star Limited, Boom Cabs, Switch Mobility and Ashok Leyland. These interactions opened doors for collaborations, insights and future opportunities in the rapidly evolving EV space.

  • High engagement at our stall reflected rising interest in EV tech and smart mobility solutions.
  • Conversations with industry leaders provided key insights into market needs and potential partnerships.
